My HC3 badly needs a wide angle lens. I wasn't sure if I'd want to spend for Sony's HD wide angle lens. This lens was cheap enough to take the risk. First, 47th St did include a step up adapter ring even though it's not mentioned in the description.The lens is pretty bulky (in length), but this is a first lens attachment I've ever purchased (after using HC3 for 10 months w/o any lens).
